Alice Bliss chosen for Cheshire, CT “One Book One Town” 2013

I’ve just been in touch with the organizers for “CROBOT” – Cheshire Reads One Book One Town. They have chosen Alice Bliss for their 2013 event.

Their planning is already well under way and I must say that I love the way these folks think about things: “If we hold an event for Alice Bliss in the beginning of November, there would be a good tie-in with Veteran’s Day. And since 2013 is the 10 year anniversay of the start of the Iraq war, the subject of your book is timely.”

There will be several events held to celebrate this, including an evening author event at the library. But I have also been invited to spend time in discussion with students at two local schools as well. Nothing could please me more.

Returning to Cheshire, CT will be like returning to visit with friends. Last month I was lucky enough to be the featured author for a fund-raising event for ARTSPACE and ART HEALS. I arrived a complete stranger and left with a room full of new friends. And a great deal of inspiration as I learned about the dedication to the arts in this community.
