Some wonderful news for Alice Bliss, the musical. Our team – Jenny Giering (music), Adam Gwon (lyrics), Laura Harrington (book) – has been invited for a week long residency at the Weston Playhouse in Weston, VT during the first week of May. This is a great opportunity and it is occurring at just the right time for us. Our first week-long residency was in February at Goodspeed Musicals, courtesy of the Johnny Mercer Foundation. We revised our outline and wrote 6 scenes and 4 songs. In another week of concentrated work in Weston, we hope to make major progress.
We will, once again, be sharing a house together in a beautiful location and working very long days. The end of our week will culminate in an evening event where we will share a few scenes and songs with the theatre staff and some key theatre supporters and board members.
We are on our way!
